Shannon Selby, VP of Real Estate, was interviewed on US Arab Radio appearing with host Khalil Hachem to speak about the Detroit Regional Partnership and how the award-winning site readiness program, VIP by DRP, is positively impacting the 11-County region. Selby discussed her love of brownfields, including the former Buick City Site and the McLouth Steel Site, and how the VIP site readiness program has grown from a $500,000 program to a $17M program, investing in sites over the next 3.5 years. The program is rapidly scaling to secure more manufacturing projects.

US Arab Radio is one of the largest ethnic radios in North America, reaching millions of listeners in 13 states, Washington DC, and the Middle East.

VIP by DRP wins Communications Award

DRP and CRIMSON were honored by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts in the annual Communicator Awards, a global competition that includes 3,000 entries around the world, showcasing agency work for big and small brands.

The VIP A Site to See campaign, which included campaign visual brand development for Verified Industries Properties by DRP, marketing strategy work, paid advertising campaigns, and focused earned media/public relations elements won an award of distinction in the business-to-business integrated campaign category.

As vehicle electrification efforts ramp up, DRP’s Verified Industrial Properties program, in collaboration with Consumers Energy, is identifying sites in the Detroit Region for these energy-intensive projects.

5 VIP Sites Awarded Over $13.5M in Site Readiness Funding from the State of Michigan

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) announced $87.5 million in grant funding for 18 projects across the state of Michigan through the Strategic Site Readiness Program (SSRP), to support the state’s efforts to compete for and win transformative projects.

“The Detroit Regional Partnership is aligned with the MEDC through our Verified Industrial Properties Program to support our region’s commitment to ready more sites, to help Michigan win its share of the critical job creation projects,” said Maureen Krauss, President and CEO of Detroit Regional Partnership.
